OUR FEST & EVENTS

Our summer festival is our flagship event, embodying the full ConserFest experience. It is a donation-based, family-style outdoor event that has become a mainstay of summers on Block Island.

The festival highlights local art and progressive businesses and we feature incredible musical talent from near and far on our main stage. Food and drink are available for purchase, as is our amazing line of coveted ConserFest merchandise. There is a silent auction and raffle, which feature local products and services. In-kind donations are always welcome and proceeds from each festival go directly to supporting the island through our on-going environmental and educational campaigns.

The day is perfect for families to come and dance to the music, play some lawn games, watch the beautiful sunset and engage as members of the broader ConserFest Family. We hope to see you soon!

OUR CAMPAIGNS

SCHOLARSHIP

#CFSCHOLARSHIP

ConserFest's campaign to build scholarships for students at the Block Island School. The ConserFest “Embrace Your Place” Scholarship helps fund educational opportunities for applicants that foster a life-long love of learning, particularly through the lens of conservation and environmental science.

Each year, the ConserFest Board of Directors elects a member from the Block Island community who has made a significant contribution over time to cultivating environmental awareness and promoting conservation efforts.  The scholarship is dedicated in honor of the individual and their service and commitment.

ConserFest has established a relief fund to support artists in the ConserFest community whose livelihood has especially been impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis. Without the contributions and commitment of so many musicians and other artists over the last 13 years, we would not have been able to be who we are and do what we do. ConserFest has developed this fund in order to recognize that contribution and give back to these amazing artists. Donate today to support the CF Artist Relief Fund. Donations go supporting Rhode Island and New England's musicians who give and have given of themselves and their art to support environmental conservation on Block Island. 2020 Applications are currently being reviewed.

NOTE: 2021 Deadlines TBA

MUSIC FOR CHANGE

For the Island, From the Island: A Holiday Musical Collaboration by Various Artists

JOIN OUR HAPPY DUNES CHALLENGE: We started the 10-for-1o challenge campaign in 2017, in honor of our 10th anniversary.  After the success of raising enough money to support the purchase of 10,000 new beach grass plants, we have decided to keep a good thing going.  Please click below to learn more and to join us in our effort to support shore restoration on Block Island and beyond!

This album was recorded over the last two years and features the work of many Block Island musicians and artists. It features 10 songs, a mixture of cover and original holiday-inspired songs, and was recorded almost entirely on-island.  All proceeds from sales of this record will go towards the annual ConserFest Block Island School scholarship.  (Copies are currently available on request basis. RE-Think THE STRAW

#RETHINKTHESTRAW

Over 500,000,000 plastic straws are used each day in the United States. In only the past twenty years, people have come to understand them as an example of extreme waste being generated for minimal convenience.

ConserFest offers reusable straw options at the event merch booths. Don’t forget to come and get yours!

BLOCK THE BAG

#BLOCKTHEBAG

Plastic is something that all of us use in one way or another and the plastic bag is one of the biggest culprits for environmental pollution.  Simultaneously, it is an opportunity for us to take a stand regardless of who we are or where we live.
